China's VP in Myanmar

Now I'm not saying that this has anything to do with Myanmar allowing Sec. of State Clinton to come visit, but how should it be viewed when Vice President of China travels to Myanmar to ostensibly talk about safety of shipping on the Mekong River?  Xi Jinping, who is widely believed to be the front runner to replace Hu Jintao in 2013, is meeting with Myanmar's military chief to pledge commitment and "bolster the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation."

I would guess that some other conversations are being held regarding China-Myanmar relations.  Blogged about all of this earlier (read it here) But, of course, this is only my two cents.
